Principal Data Engineer

Senior/Principal Data Engineer – Nashville,TN – Hybrid 3 days onsite – 2 year Contract

Salt has partnered with a well-established company who operates in the energy space and who are on a mission to grow and expand their team. They are looking for a Senior/Principal Data Engineer for a long-term 2 year contract and to be based in Nashville, TN.

What you’ll do:

• Be responsible for building on the existing data hub
• Data cataloguing
• Building a semantic layer
• Working to increase data managed systems
• Define and implement a technical roadmap sought at driving the long-term scale of BI and Data Warehousing platforms.
• Design, architect, and develop code in a testable, scalable, and performant manner.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Must be able to code in Python
• Experience with cloud-based platform Azure.
• Proven experience working with streaming data
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration platforms (i.e., Airflow, MuleSoft,).
