As a member of the team, you’ll be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex global contracts for the sales team, and guiding compliance with Canadian law. You’ll work closely with key business stakeholders, using your sharp business acumen and excellent contract drafting skills to negotiate with external clients and vendors.

And let’s be real, you’ll also be the go-to expert on Canadian compliance programs, like ITSG-33/Protected B, security screening and clearance (DOS/FSC), PIPEDA, GC Cloud Adoption Strategy, and the Controlled Goods Program (CPG). Basically, you’ll be the superhero of legal compliance.

The ideal candidate has:

• LL.B or J.D. degree and license to practice law in one or more Canadian provinces
• 5+ years of transactional experience in a busy corporate/commercial practice (preferably at least 3 years in-house)
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Preferred Location: Toronto, Ontario
