IT Financial Planning Analyst

We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented Senior IT Contract Management Analyst to join our client’s team. Our client is a leading provider of natural gas and electric services, catering to both residential and business consumers across the northern and central regions of California.

The role involves collaborating with internal teams to enforce company policies, oversee risk controls, conduct compliance reviews, manage receipts, and obtain financial approvals for O&M contracts. It includes leading contract reviews with senior leaders and facilitating agreement on costs and resolutions. Duties also encompass identifying contract rationalization opportunities, discontinuing non-critical services, and collaborating with the Sourcing Department to understand contract details. Furthermore, the role entails partnering with Business Finance and IT PMO to capture O&M costs during procurement.

Responsibilities

* This candidate will work with internal teams to implement enterprise company policies, risk engagement controls, invoice compliance reviews, goods receipts, and obtain leadership’s financial approvals for O&M contract services

* The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of contract strategic reviews with senior and executive leaders, Architects, IT Operations, and drive consensus, resolutions, and validation regarding costs of contracts

* Additional responsibilities include identifying opportunities to rationalize, right size contracts and discontinue non-critical services, This position works with stakeholders including the Sourcing Dept to assist in developing a deep understanding of contract scope, cost, terms, and conditions as well as partner with Business Finance The Contract Management Analyst, Senior develops partnerships and coordinates with the IT PMO and IT leaders to capture incremental O&M costs from contracts at the time of purchase

* Evaluate existing processes of contract management lifecycle; provide recommendations for process or business improvements

* Facilitate issue resolution for assigned contracts, including supporting or participating in formal dispute resolution as needed

* Maintain written and electronic Contract documentation and records for all aspects of assigned contracts

* Document contract information, contract development status, contract issues, commitments and contingencies related to assigned contracts in appropriate tracking tools, documents, databases, and systems

* Monitor developer performance for contracts with facilities under development/construction

* Participate and support regulatory processes/filings including ERRA, General Rate Case and filings related to assigned contracts or assigned areas of responsibility

* Perform and report on cost analysis on assigned contracts for financial reporting purposes

* Represent the client with counterparties and other external entities

* Review new contracts assigned through contract review process, coordinating with stakeholder departments

* Support operations through clear and concise communications, reporting tools, and as needs arise for issues regarding contracts

* Take action to resolve all open items, manage communications, and perform administrative steps required at contract termination/expiration

* Track regulatory filings associated with assigned contracts

Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience

* Minimum of 3 years job-related experience directly with IT Contracts
