Qualification/Experience:

• Degree educated or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 year’s experience in a buying role.
• Ambient food buying is a requirement.
• Food Safety certification desired.
• Health & Safety certification desired
• Airline experience desired
• Continuous Improvement Experience required.
• Contract Management Experience required.

Skills:

• Strong people management skills
• Strong business communication verbal and written.
• Sound knowledge of buying best practice.
• An ability to read and understand legal agreements.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Robust financial and analytic & methodical
• Able to work with attention to detail.
• Problem solver & innovative
• Planning and coordinating ability and skilled
• IT Skilled across Microsoft Platforms or similar, WM’S and or similar management platforms.

Requirements:

• Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback.
• Flexibility and responsiveness to change with the ability to guide others in challenging environments.
• Proactive and forward thinking.
• Expertise in managing suppliers and best practices.
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Emotionally mature
• Experienced in front face customer experience.
• Able to guide and mentor individuals, resolve conflict.
• Exercise self-reflection – able to self-correct and be flexible / adapt to change.
• Ability to cope with and handle variable workload.
