Junior Treasury Accountant

We are looking for a passionate and energetic Junior Treasury Accountant to join our Group Treasury department in Cape Town. As a Junior Treasury Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate accounting of Treasury transactions and bank reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and perform bank reconciliations.
• Resolve accounting queries with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct electronic banking payments.
• Perform bank account analytics.
• Prepare Treasury reports.
• Drive process improvements and enhance efficiencies.
• Handle accounting for Foreign Currency Transactions, including swaps and hedge accounting.

Qualifications and Experience:

• B.Com (Acc) or related Accounting/Finance degree.
• Previous experience in Banking or Financial Services is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a large corporate Finance/Accounting department, with expertise in bank reconciliations and accounting for foreign currency transactions.
• Completed SAICA Articles is advantageous.
• Proficient in various banks’ online banking platforms.
