Data Consultant – Graduate/Entry-level – SAP ERP Tech

Role Overview

The Trainee Data Consultant: Migration is expected to build both technical and functional skills in the area of SAP Data Migration, as well as develop consulting capabilities. During a structured 3-month training programme, the consultant will gain proficiency in:

• SAP Data Services

• SAP Migration Cockpit

• Additional ETL tools as required

Following successful completion of the training, the consultant may be assigned to client projects based on availability and suitability. Strong skills in SQL within a data analysis context will be a critical component of the role.

Minimum Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science

• 1-2 years’ experience in SQL

• Solid knowledge of relational database modelling and SQL

• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal

• Self-motivated, results-driven, and proactive

• Strong logic and analytical reasoning abilities

• Detail-oriented, observant, and focused on quality

• Team player with a service-oriented mindset

• Strong time management and deadline discipline

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in workshops and discussions

• Develop and maintain documentation as requested

• Execute test scripts and apply critical thinking during testing

• Provide support with documentation, knowledge transfer, and testing

• Prepare, extract, transform, and load data

• Create and validate load files

• Interpret functional specifications and prepare requirements for build

• Engage with customers, project teams, and internal stakeholders

• Analyse business data and draw relevant conclusions

• Deliver work that meets approval standards set by management

• Prioritise effectively to ensure timely, high-quality outputs

• Learn and apply SAP Activate or other applicable methodologies

• Build knowledge of data quality and management principles

• Identify and address data quality issues with improvement strategies
