Chief Audit Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Audit Officer who will be responsible for organizing, directing, and executing annual audit plans while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. You will play a key role in identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the short and long-term strategy for the Internal Audit Department, aligning it with the overall organizational strategy.
• Review and assess the performance of the internal audit function, providing independent and objective opinions on risk management and control.
• Define and oversee the implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with leading practices and legislative requirements.
• Manage the Internal Audit budget and monitor financial performance.
• Develop and execute an accurate and timely audit plan, assessing business processes and standards across the organization.
• Provide guidance for audit execution, prepare analytical reports on audit findings, and propose risk mitigation actions.
• Present observations to the Board, addressing financial, operational, and IT risks.
• Conduct special assignments as directed by the Audit Committee to investigate specific situations or incidents.
• Ensure compliance with IT security standards and oversee IT audit assignments.
• Lead and motivate the Internal Audit team, setting objectives, recruiting qualified staff, and managing performance.
• Communicate reporting requirements to relevant departments and deliver reports in a timely manner.
• Implement and comply with cybersecurity/privacy/Business Continuity requirements.
• Coordinate with the Risk Department to identify and report cyber security and privacy risks and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 13 years of relevant audit experience, with at least 4 years in progressively increasing managerial roles in Internal Audit.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Arabic.
