Senior Associate – Syndications

Our client is a leading financial institution supporting corporate and institutional clients with comprehensive loan maintenance, cashflow management, and bespoke deal execution. Excelling in providing efficient oversight and management of complex transactions within the Corporate Finance sector, both globally and domestically.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Syndicated Lending Operations to lead a team. This role is pivotal in leveraging your expertise in Corporate and Institutional Bank Loan Markets and LoanIQ systems. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, supporting complex transactions, and driving excellence in syndicated and bilateral lending. This position requires strong leadership and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily team operations, utilising your LoanIQ expertise during New York business hours.
• Transaction Management: Approve and execute complex syndicated and bilateral loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Reconciliation and Payments: Manage reconciliation processes and handle payments through the SWIFT network.
• Technical Support: Mentor and support associates in LoanIQ and complex transactions, acting as a key resource.
• Process Improvement: Drive process enhancements to minimise errors and improve efficiency.
• Training and Development: Provide coaching and training to internal and external associates to build a skilled and versatile team.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the Lending Admin Manager in meetings and advocate for continuous process improvements.
• Shift Work: Adapt to a shift schedule from 9pm to 6am to align with the US market, with shift loading applicable.

What You Will Bring:

• Leadership Experience: Proven track record in Corporate & Institutional Banking with exceptional leadership skills.
• Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of LoanIQ and experience with syndicated facility agreements.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively and mentor team members while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Risk Management: Expertise in managing risk and adhering to controls and compliance frameworks.
• Change Management: Experience in driving change and process improvements within a dynamic environment.
• Accreditation: AOM accreditation at the Practitioner level is desirable.
