Our client is one of Australia’s leading eCommerce gaming entertainment companies with over 2 million Australian customers. Originally for sports, they have since expanded across other entertainment sectors. They have created quite a unique and interesting role for an Audience and Tracking Manager.

As a strategic leader, you will support your team in shaping strategies, overseeing the operational management of audience and tracking functions through customer data platforms to support marketing and product teams. Therefore, you will ideally have experience in tracking, audience, leadership and digital – 3 out of 4 would be ideal, but not essential.

  • You will have a massive budget, lead a team of 5, be based in Sydney or Melbourne, and you will act as the 2IC to the Head of MarTech.

What You Will Achieve

  • Strategy: Research and formulate industry-leading strategies, ensuring alignment with stakeholders to empower consistent customer activation.
  • Leadership: Build and nurture a high-performing team of experts, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Delivery & Operations: Ensure operational excellence while identifying optimization opportunities and maintaining robust governance frameworks.
  • Process: Develop clear playbooks to align stakeholders and support performance tracking and reporting.
  • Platform Development: Drive the creation of best practices for tracking, attribution, and marketing enablement platforms, fostering strong vendor relationships.

What You Will Need For Success

  • Behavioral Competencies: Customer-centric mindset, systems thinking, innovation-driven, bias to action, growth mindset, and excellent communication skills.
  • Technical Competencies: Deep knowledge of Customer Data Platform (CDP) – Tealium would be great, marketing automation – Braze would be great, adtech tools, tracking, attribution, data architecture, and data quality.
  • Experience: 5+ years in marketing operations or equivalent roles, demonstrable leadership experience, and a genuine passion for customer-centricity.
  • Essential: Experience with enterprise-grade behavioral tracking and Customer Data Platform (CDP) tools, digital business experience, growth mindset.
  • Desirable: Stakeholder engagement/project management qualifications.
