Salt has partnered exclusively with an FMCG retailer we all know and love. With stores all around the nation, they have been working on a huge digital transformation for the last 12 or so months. With the foundations laid, it is time to take this platform and strategy next level & look at ways to refine, optimise & better it.

As the Digital Channels Strategy Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Digital Channels to drive the implementation, strategic development & ongoing improvement of commercial, retailer & shopper aspects.

Although a well-established organisation, with years of success, think of this as an innovation hub. A fast-moving, agile division.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • work with the Digital & Retail Channels team to establish relevant performance measures and work with the campaign, conversion & reporting teams to deliver timely reporting and commentary with the view to drive overall performance & business growth.
  • work with existing vendors, teams across the business, and new 3rd party partners to develop offers that add value to retailer and shopper propositions, including 3rd party delivery, equipment and hardware, and marketing solutions vendors.
  • support the Head of Digital Channels with commercial modeling, business case development, and presentation building.
  • coordinate the budget management processes for the new platforms including annual budget submissions, quarterly forecasting, five-year strategy plan updates, and ongoing budget tracking and reconciliation.
  • develop and maintain working strategies and coordination processes between the Digital Channels and Digital Marketing teams.
  • work with the Retail Channel, Pricing, and Merch Promo teams to develop pricing and promotional strategies.

Who are you?

  • 5+ years experience in strategy execution or business dev role with retail, e-commerce marketing or marketing operations exposure.
  • Ideally, you’ve been a key strategic player in a new project or platform launch, driving change and growth. You’ve seen it from the ground up!
  • Experience of loyalty or CRM preferred
  • Experience working with both qualitative and quantitative customer insights to inform decision-making.
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency to drive change and the ability to set direction
  • Ability to manage & engage with subject matter experts to ensure high-quality business solutions and commercial outcomes.
