Salary: Up to $120,000
Location: Melbourne, Inner Suburbs (Hybrid – 3 days in-office, WFH Mondays & Fridays)

A highly awarded global marketing agency, known for delivering outstanding work across the retail sector, is on the lookout for a Senior SEO Manager to drive performance and establish a high-performing SEO function. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership, shape strategy, and build a team around you.

The Role

As the SEO Manager, you’ll lead SEO strategy and execution across a diverse client portfolio. You’ll be responsible for driving performance, developing scalable processes, and mentoring a team of specialists. You’ll also play a key client-facing role, providing expert insights and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Own and optimise SEO performance across a range of client accounts
Develop and implement SEO strategies including technical SEO, content, on-page, and off-page optimisation
Build and lead a growing SEO team – from recruitment to performance management
Act as the primary contact for key clients, presenting insights, results, and recommendations
Track SEO KPIs and revenue goals, identifying ongoing growth opportunities
Collaborate with SEM, CRO, and dev teams to deliver cohesive, integrated solutions
Stay ahead of the curve with the latest SEO trends, tools, and best practices

What You’ll Bring

5+ years’ SEO experience, ideally within an agency environment
Proven expertise across technical SEO, keyword strategy, and link building
Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and motivating teams
Deep understanding of technical SEO (e.g., Core Web Vitals, structured data, page speed)
Skilled in GA4, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio
Confident communicator, able to present to clients and stakeholders at all levels
Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS as they relate to SEO
Bonus points for experience with AI-based tools and SEO automation
