Business Development Manager

Sales

Wheatbelt Permanent Uncapped Commission + Car/Car Allowance

About the role

This is a great opportunity to step into a brand-new role created in response to the WA Government’s major investment in the Wheatbelt region. With billions committed to infrastructure, health, housing, and community services, the region is primed for growth, and so is your career. You’ll help local businesses access expert HR and Health & Safety support while building your own success story.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Launch and lead your own territory: Be the face of the business in the Wheatbelt, building a pipeline of SME clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and community networking. You’ll have the freedom to shape your approach and make your mark.
  • Engage clients face-to-face: Meet with business owners to understand their challenges and present tailored solutions that deliver real value. You’ll become a trusted partner in their growth journey.
  • Close deals with confidence: Use your consultative sales skills to move from first meeting to signed agreement. You’ll be empowered to drive outcomes and supported by a high-performance team.
  • Manage your pipeline like a pro: Stay in control of your sales activity using CRM tools and daily team stand-ups. You’ll learn from others, share your wins, and continuously sharpen your approach.
  • Grow your career, not just your commission: With structured onboarding, coaching, and clear pathways for progression, this role is a launchpad for ambitious sales professionals ready to lead.

Skills/Experience

Your laser-focused, fiercely driven, and ready to win. Your passion for building new business, combined with your resilience and sharp instincts, will set you apart. If you thrive on challenge and love the thrill of the close, you’ll bring the following:

  • Proven B2B sales experience: You’ve succeeded in outbound or field sales roles before and know how to build rapport, handle objections, and close deals. You’re confident working independently and thrive on hitting targets.
  • Resilient and self-driven: You bounce back from setbacks, stay focused under pressure, and keep your eyes on the prize. You’re motivated by results and take pride in your ability to create opportunities from scratch.
  • Strong communicator and presenter: You know how to tailor your message to different audiences, ask the right questions, and present solutions that resonate. Your professionalism and presence build trust quickly.
  • Goal-oriented and accountable: You’re comfortable working to KPIs and tracking your performance. You take ownership of your numbers and use feedback to improve.

Perks and Benefits

  • Base + Guaranteed Commission in year one
  • Uncapped commission structure with high earning potential
  • Company Car or Car Allowance + Superannuation
  • Daily team stand-ups, structured onboarding, and ongoing support
  • Birthday leave and wellness perks

ABOUT THE COMPANY

This organisation was born over 40 years ago in England, sparked by one business owner’s frustrating experience with poor HR advice. That moment inspired a mission: to make expert HR and Health & Safety support accessible and affordable for small businesses. Since then, the company has expanded across three continents, helping thousands of businesses thrive.

What sets them apart is how they operate: they genuinely look out for their clients and each other, take initiative to solve problems, embrace fresh thinking, share knowledge openly, and always strive to do what’s fair and responsible. These values are more than just words-they’re the foundation of how the team works every day.
