Business Development Representative

Salt has exclusively partnered with a Digital Marketing Agency in Melbourne and are on the look out for a Business Development Representative to find and qualify new customer opportunities for our strategic marketing agency. They may be early in their career, have some understanding of digital marketing but mostly have the intelligence, resilience and attitude that is willing to learn and put in the effort. Ideally, will enjoy the responsibility for building opportunities at the front-end of a sales pipeline.

About the role:

  • Identify sales prospecting opportunities, research prospective customers and create/refine outreach strategies
  • Conduct high volume prospecting to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media
  • Schedule and conduct Connect meetings to further assess a prospect’s business and potential for partnership with our agency
  • Leveraging lead magnets to generate interest
  • Attending networking functions
  • Maintain good working relationships with prospects and clients won
  • Providing a professional, helpful, friendly and enthusiastic customer service experience
  • Maintain a quality CRM – Contact integrity, Deal Stages and accurate reporting
  • Communicate fully, openly, and respectfully, seek feedback and learning, act with integrity
  • Develop strong relationships with prospects and company employees
  • Regular participation in agency meetings

About you:

  • Outbound sales, recruitment, telcos, energy companies, media sales
  • Ability ask great questions and understand their pain points
  • Confident enough to pick up the phone but balanced approach from the presentable sense
  • Resilient
  • Desire to help
  • Seek to understand
