Senior Business Development Manager – VIC

Salt has exclusively partnered with a scale-up online market place that is due to launch in Australia in the coming months.

To build on their existing success overseas, they are looking to hire a dedicated Senior Business Development Manager to join their team here in Victoria.

You will be successful in this role by utilising your existing networks and through relentlessly hunting for new customers. B2B Sales experience is a must, and communication skills are key!

This is a unique opportunity that grants you the ability to leverage off a cutting-edge technology platform and play an integral role in building the brand here in Australia – from the beginning.

Responsibilities:

  • Covering the state of Victoria your role will be to generate new business opportunities utilising a number of new business strategies
  • Selling the platform and associated marketing campaigns that can include print and online advertising including ( eDM campaigns, social media campaigns and digital editorial features)
  • Run face to face and virtual demo’s of the platform with new prospects
  • Recognise opportunities with existing clients
  • Must have a sense of urgency in all that you do and must be outcome-driven
  • Report to the regional sales director and meet KPI’s
  • Develop, adapt and plan sales strategies to optimise best outcomes
  • Brief, pitch and present confidently to new clients and close deals
  • Time management skills an absolute must!

Experience:

  • Experience in Media sales or selling digital marketing solutions
  • Pipeline reporting and management of sales pipelines both individually and within a team
  • Presenting to clients and customers (both in person and via video call)
  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel)
  • Have strong understanding of KPI’s and confident with reaching targets on a weekly basis

The earning potential in this role is uncapped with realistic earnings for high performers in excess of $160k.

Having a strong understanding of the digital landscape and particular target market is imperative for success in this role.
