Salt Search is partnering with a reputable Global Publisher and Commercial Research Organization that offers services predominantly to Academia and corporate clients.

As a Strategic Account Manager/ Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies, primarily focus nurture and expand existing relationships with Education Sector & CAUL, while also driving new business development opportunities in corporate sector for ANZ.

Key Responsibilities and not limited to:

  • Develop and execute growth strategies not only with Education verticals but Commercial sectors which is endless. Even though this market is competitive, you will be able to deliver through a strong service delivery offering a formidable reputation and brand.
  • Provide market intelligence to influence business objectives and support decision-making. You will have access to great systems and processes and subject matter experts.
  • Drive growth in a focused manner to achieve business goals, including revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities, working closely with the Bids & Growth Solutions Team.
  • Create strong and long-term sustainable relationships through activities of facilitating meetings, presenting, networking etc.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Marketing, or related discipline).
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in strategic account management within Higher Education & Publishing Sector, preferably in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Strong understanding of their customers in higher education, including knowledge of industry trends, challenges, and key players or transferable B2B sales skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and growing strategic accounts, achieving sales targets, and driving business growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate contracts, and influence decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel within Australia and New Zealand as required.

Salary and Benefits

  • Base Salary is $170 – $180K + super + uncapped commission.
  • Work remote either in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
