Our client, a leading global digital platform are revolutionising the way we do business in government communities with public policies across Australia and New Zealand!

They are looking for a dynamic and strategic individual to fill a brand-new role aimed at expanding partnerships with communities, supporting tourism initiatives, and fostering community-driven events.

As a Strategic Engagement & Partnership Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of initiatives within the tourism and community events sectors. You will work closely with local governments mostly and key community coalitions to enhance collaboration and amplify the brand’s impact on local economies.

Key Responsibilities are:

  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at the local government level, also state departments within related coalitions.
  • Establish and growth strategic partnerships to support and amplify community-driven events and tourism initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive impactful government engagement strategies.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for local authorities and organisations that can help advance their communities’ exposure

To be successful in this role you must bring the following:

  • Strong background in government relations & community engagement.
  • Experience working delivering activation’s, events or community partnerships with government stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in providing support, leadership or guidance depending on the situation.
  • Experience of managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly get up to speed on technical and regulatory issues.
  • Excellent communications skills with great interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Passion for tourism, hospitality, and community development.
