Application Support Engineer – Korean & English speaking

  • 12 month contract opportunity- possibility of extension/conversion to perm
  • Offering: $59/hr including super
  • Location: Sydney CBD- hybrid work model

Please Note: Due to the nature of the role, Candidates Must be based in Sydney and must be Permanent Residents or Citizens to be considered for this role.

Candidates must also possess excellent written and verbal Korean and English communication skills as this role will be supporting Korean customers.

What you’ll bring?

  • Excellent written and verbal Korean and English communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience of providing high quality customer service
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical systems with technical and non-technical stakeholders / customers
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Strong knowledge of the components in a web applications stack
  • Experience writing or debugging either Java, Javascript, Python, or Perl code
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
  • Linux experience
  • amiliarity with Powershell script
  • A familiarity with the likes of VMware, AWS, Azure, Amazon EC2
  • Experience with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Traceroute
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

What you’ll be doing?

  • In this customer-facing role, you’ll be supporting Korean language customers and resolving any technical issues they may have relating to this company’s software products
  • Writing and debugging code
  • Following support best practices and contributing to documentation
  • Working with relational databases
  • Demonstrating a professional approach to problem solving and providing technical solutions for customers
  • Communicating with customers and also internal stakeholders
  • Being the voice of the customer – relaying customer feedback to internal support / product teams
