We’re seeking a highly experienced Change Manager with a passion for academic transformation to support a major payroll and timetabling project at a leading Australian university. This newly created role will help deliver a solution that simplifies and automates how teaching and academic staff are paid, aligning with broader university workforce and timetabling strategies.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

• $950.00 a Day Inclusive of super.
• Initial 6-Month engagement, with possibility of extension.
• Flexible working arrangements, Melbourne CBD.
• Exposure to working alongside a well-established Australian Uni.

THE ROLE:

• Lead the change stream for the introduction of a new payroll and academic timetabling system
• Design and execute change strategies focused on improving the academic staff experience
• Engage closely with faculties, Technology, and academic leadership to understand needs and concerns
• Manage complex stakeholder relationships across schools and departments, with a deep awareness of academic culture
• Plan and deliver communications, engagement, training, and readiness activities tailored for teaching and research staff
• Support the adoption of new systems and processes while managing impacts across the academic lifecycle

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrated success as a Change Manager in complex higher education or academic environments.
• Deep understanding of the academic staff experience, including teaching cycles, timetabling, and workload models.
• Experience in Workday, payroll systems, or other Technology related implementations.
• Proven ability to lead change in a sensitive and consultative manner, particularly when working with academic and teaching stakeholders.
• Adept at simplifying complexity and gaining buy-in across varied stakeholder groups.
• PROSCI or equivalent change certification is highly regarded.
