Cyber Security Analyst

The Role:

Salt Australia has partnered with an international organisation leading the prominent restaurant industry and since it’s experiencing such exponential growth are now looking for an experienced security analyst to join their Sydney team on a permanent basis.

This is a hands-on operational and strategic role, you will assist with audits, diagnose gaps in the company’s cyber security capability, recommend enhancements and lead the implementation of a program of work to embed a mature cyber security practice.

As a Security Analyst, you will also be technically adept with IT Security products, being able to interpret numerous events across disparate systems to identify cyber security risks and potential exposures, resulting in the practical implementation of risk and exposure mitigation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and assist in the cyber security strategy implemented by the team
• Analyse and monitor cyber security threats, and aid with incident detection and log analysis
• Maintain and contribute towards internal security measures and controls
• Develop and routinely review internal cyber security policies, standards and procedures
• Detect, respond and manage cyber security incidents
• Support security audits and manage PCI compliance
• Undertake risk based prioritisation of cyber vulnerabilities

Experience:

• 5+ years experience in an IT Security role
• Expertise identifying and managing security threats
• Proven experience implementing cyber security strategy road-maps
• Commercial experience working with security tools
• Knowledge/Commercial understanding with ISO 27001
• Any relevant Security certifications is a +
• Strong level of business acumen
• Experience relaying technical information to non-technical personnel
