Engineering Manager

• 6-month contract, potential extensions
• $1,180 / day + GST

Salt has partnered with a leading Health Insurance company, recently awarded as an Employer of Choice. Now hiring for an Engineering Manager to lead their teams on a Technology Uplift project to enhance and optimise the use of technology within the business.

This contract is initially set for 6-months, with potential to extend for further duration.

Key responsibilities of the position:

• Balance hands-on technical work with strategic management to drive engineering excellence.
• Oversee the transition to a new CI/CD model, ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes.
• Manage the engineering team, with 2 Tech leads as direct reports.
• Manage and enhance live applications, taking a proactive role in incident management and resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance digital experiences and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key experience:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role in a digital environment.
• Strong technical background, with the ability to contribute to coding, architecture, and problem-solving.
• Hands-on experience managing and improving CRM, .net programming, Azure, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid incident management experience, with a track record of maintaining high availability and reliability in live applications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
