GCP Data Engineer

Our client, a global financial services group, is looking for a Data Engineer to join Data Platforms Team to contribute to building the best technology business in financial services.

As a Data Engineer you will be building, implementing and enhancing enterprise scale data solutions. You will be also responsible for designing, developing, deploying and supporting data assets, creating templates and implementation methods, standards and frameworks.

What makes you a good fit:

• 4+ years’ of enterprise data engineering experience in a mature cloud environment;
• 3 years of experience with GCP – a must;
• Experience building and deploying data lakes and data warehouses on GCP using services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions and GCS;
• Real-time data streaming experience is required;
• Experience developing code-based ETL/ELT data pipelines with performance optimised data modelling;
• Experience ingesting data from a variety of sources (DBs, APIs, streaming data feeds, and other clouds);
• Experience with event driven processing and big data processing – handling PII, data formatting & wrangling, data preparation
