Integration Analyst – Workday

Salt has partnered with a leader in Australian tertiary education, now hiring for a Workday Integration Analyst to join their team on a permanent full time basis in Melbourne.

As a Workday Integration Analyst, you’ll design, build, and support integrations to ensure smooth data exchange between systems. Your role includes working closely with stakeholders, resolving technical issues, and improving integrations to meet business goals.

Please note, to be eligible for this position, candidates must have full working rights in Australia, and be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check as part of the on-boarding process with this employer.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, monitor, and support Workday system integrations to ensure they meet business and technical needs.
• Handle both incoming and outgoing data flows using tools like Workday Studio, EIB, Cloud Connect, PICOF/PECI, and BIRT.
• Troubleshoot issues, fix problems, and perform regular testing to ensure smooth integration performance.
• Improve and maintain calculated fields to keep integrations running efficiently.
• Work with Solution Consultants and Functional Architects to review and approve integrations.
• Create and update technical documentation for integrations, including system designs and specifications.
• Partner with business and technical teams to make sure data is accurate and complies with policies.
• Follow best practices for building and releasing Workday integrations.
• Be available for after-hours support when urgent issues or major updates occur.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience with Workday integrations, including Studio, EIB, Cloud Connect, PICOF/PECI, and BIRT.
• Strong understanding of Workday’s data model and web technologies like SOAP, WSDL, REST, XML, JSON, XSLT, and XPath.
• Background in API and middleware integration.
• Familiar with how databases, systems, and applications work together.
• Good at diagnosing integration problems and working with external vendors when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent work experience.
• Workday Integration certification.
