QA Analyst

Salt is working with a leading financial services business based in Sydney. They are committed to providing innovative and reliable solutions to clients and understand that quality assurance is paramount to achieving this goal. Due to rapid expansion, they are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic QA Analyst to join the growing technology team.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for the full lifecycle of testing, including test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
• Document and evaluate processes, both internal and third-party vendor systems, including completion of system impact assessments for proposed changes.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance plans for systems and processes, ensuring appropriate coverage of business, operations and systems functionality.
• Conduct verification and/or validation testing across internal systems and integration with third party vendors, ensuring that all system changes are high quality, secure and fit for purpose.
• Identify and develop improvements for system verification testing, including testing processes, practices and standards.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure testability.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test suites for both functional and non-functional aspects of our applications.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies.
• Participate in reviews of requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience as a QA Analyst, within the financial services industry. Experience in lending, core banking and/or payments systems highly desirable.
• Experience with a variety of testing processes and methodologies, including manual and automated testing.
• A strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience in designing, developing, and executing test cases and test plans.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
