The Company

Salt is excited to have partnered with a leading Data Provider based in Melbourne CBD, who is currently looking for a Senior Cloud Design Engineer to join their Cloud team on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Senior Cloud Design Engineer, you will be joining our clients established Cloud team, where you’ll be working within a mature Cloud (AWS) environment and will be involved with the development and uplift of various projects. The Senior Cloud Design Engineer will also help with the Solution Design and Cloud Architecture, as well as be required to interface with various business stakeholders and internal customers.

Key Skills and Competencies:

The successful Senior Cloud Engineer should have the following skill-set;

• Extensive experience working as a Cloud/DevOps Design Engineer, including Automation experience
• First hand experience in Solution Design and Cloud Architecture
• Ability to interface with senior stakeholders and internal customers
• Expertise in Public Cloud Platforms, in particular AWS
• Proficient in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (BitBucket, Jenkins)
• Demonstrated experience in configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform)
• Commercial experience with container technology / orchestration (ECS, EKS)
• Strong knowledge working with Linux O/S
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
