Senior Network Engineer

· Fortune 100 cloud based blue chip organization

· 12 months contract opportunity with a high potential to go permanent

· Offering $860/day including super

What you will be doing:

You will be a part of cloud networking team and responsible for operating the global network infrastructure and maintaining network stability

This role is a combination of operational (troubleshooting, problem analysis, etc.) tasks and sustainment engineering and allows the engineer to be involved in a broad range of network functions.

· Operate and troubleshoot networks to identify and resolve issues quickly.

· Validate problem descriptions and perform detailed problem diagnosis; track and update problems in the trouble-ticketing system.

· Perform investigations into functionality that is not working as desired.

· Review, consult and prepare for planned change introduction to the production environment.

· Partner with teams to plan and execute software code upgrades and device maintenance.

· Develop and maintain automation to investigate and resolve alerts and issues on the network

· Develop and maintain internal tools to assist with operating the network infrastructure at scale

What we are looking for in a candidate:

10+ years of experience in networking, including routing, switching, security and load balancing.

· Routing (BGP/OSPF)

· Automation: Ansible/Python

· Linux

· Juniper experience

· Switching

Nice to have:

ISIS/MPLS

Load Balancers (F5/Nginx)
