Senior Portfolio Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Portfolio Analyst for a 6-month contract to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing our portfolio of projects and programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• $750.00 a day Inclusive of superannuation
• Exposure to working alongside one of Australia’s largest energy providers.
• 6-month Day rate contract. Most likely to be extended ongoingly.

THE ROLE:

• Track projects and programs to ensure compliance with defined tolerances and exceptions, identifying and flagging deviations related to scope, time, quality, cost, and benefits. Monitor risks, schedules, actions, resources, issues, and dependencies.
• Advocate for delivery services best practices and methodologies across the Technology portfolio, ensuring continuous improvement and standardization.
• Analyze project data and information to identify more efficient ways to deliver initiatives, providing actionable insights to senior technology leaders.
• Support the development of status reports according to the reporting schedule, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
• Report on project/program timeline issues, offering solutions and recommendations to mitigate delays.
• Collaborate with Technology Project/Program Managers to produce and update project documentation in line with established methodologies.
• Monitor and report on benefit progress, ensuring alignment with reporting cadence and organizational objectives.
• Assist in progress management, including submission into organizational tools, monitoring financial progress, and providing variance commentary.
• Help the Project Managers with monthly financial tasks, including accruals, forecasts, and budgets as required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Must have previous experience in a similar role, such as Program Coordinator, PMO Analyst, or Lead in a commercial capacity.
• Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline (e.g., Business, Information Technology, Engineering).
• Project Management qualifications or certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI) are highly preferred.
