Service Technician

An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate Service Technician to join the a Field Services Team on a 7-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension and/or permanent position.

The Opportunity:

The Service Technician will work with end users, you will work in a diverse team environment to deliver optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to the corporate strategy.

You will be able to work autonomously and in a fast-paced team to provide our customers with a great experience by activating a broad range of telecommunications / technology products and services, aligned to our current and future technology products and services.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Working on the customers ICT environment that includes Data structured Cabling networks, Defence’s Juniper ICT network, wireless technology, Video conferencing and passive infrastructure (Fibre and copper).
• Undertake Passive ICT Infrastructure projects as part of a team
• Installation of defence Passive ICT equipment as part of technology roll outs
• Meet Project timeframes
• Updating documentation during changes such as cable solve or MDF record books to maintain accuracy of the ICT environment.
• Maintain and report the security of the ICT environment.
• Complete Project documentation

You will have:

• Knowledge on Data networks such as Juniper.
• Knowledge of Data Structured Cabling standards
• Experience with passive ICT copper and fibre.
• Proficient in the client’s proprietary SOE applications as well as highly capable in general PC applications and hardware.
• Possess a High-level Customer Service Skills, with good negotiation and facilitation skills and a High level of communication skills, both written and oral.
• High level of organisational skills and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise to ensure delivery of critically important tasks
• Proven ability to work autonomously and to work under tight timeframes and deadlines to deliver required outcomes
• Hold a minimum of Baseline security clearance.
