This role is with my client who is one of the largest Government departments. They are looking for a Tech writer to join their Work Health and Safety business unit who can assist in developing WHS Policy, procedures, guidance materials in line with Australian Standards, Code of Practice, best practice and associated business tools.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage workflow and follow-up activities for the update, development and implementation of written directions
  • Draft and prepare correspondence, agendas, minutes, presentations to support the updating or development of the written direction framework.
  • Gather, collate and provide background information related to policies, procedures and processes to support in the technical writing of written directions.
  • Assess and prioritise the written direction approach.
  • Manage communication channels efficiently and effectively and direct enquiries as appropriate to facilitate the effective management for written directions.
  • Maintain appropriate records management systems, to ensure the integrity of data and to support the efficient retrieval of information.
  • Reflect organization’s values in the way you work and abide by policies and procedures to ensure a safe, healthy and inclusive work environment.
  • Place the customer at the centre of all decision making.
  • Work with the Line Manager to develop and review meaningful individual performance development and review plans
