Title: Founding Engineer/Lead Developer/CTO

Location: London – hybrid/flexible on remote working within the UK

Tech: Node, Typescript, React, React Native,

Salary: up to £120K

The Company are a well-funded meditation app startup looking for a founding engineer to join the team. Their mission is to help people achieve a state of mindfulness and inner peace through guided meditation and other mindfulness practices.

They’ve received £1.5 million in funding from a leading VC firm, and are gearing up to launch the app on both iOS and Android platforms. They are seeking a talented and driven engineer to lead the development of the app from scratch.

The key responsibilities will include:

Building the meditation app of using React Native

Work with our team of designers and product managers to come up with cool new features

Make sure our app runs smoothly on the back-end (Node.js and Typescript)

Make sure our app is super fast and can handle all the traffic (this is where your optimization skills come in)

Write code that’s clean, maintainable, and scalable

Make sure everything is working properly by testing your code

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience doing cool stuff with mobile apps

You should know your way around React Native, Node.js and Typescript

If you know AWS or some other cloud stuff, that’s awesome

You should be cool with working in a startup and using agile methodologies

You should be good at solving problems and talking to other people

The package on offer is: up to £120K, you can own up to 1% of the company, you can take as much time off as you want
