Salary/Benefits – £80,000 to £108,000 + 10% pension + 10% bonus + 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
Salt is recruiting multiple Software Engineers on behalf of one of the Big Four UK Banks – as of today they have over 7.5M customers and 850,000 small business accounts!
This is an exciting and challenging role where you will get the opportunity to create and maintain a large-scale key-value store used by over 50 systems in the bank
As a Software Engineer joining this team, you will be working on the main storage and distribution hub of the bank’s trades – examples of the daily work here are:
- Designing and developing reusable libraries and APIs for use across the bank
- Designing and developing software that is amenable for a greater automation of build, release testing and deployment process on all environments
- Writing unit and integration tests, in automated test environments to ensure code quality
For this Software Engineer position, they are looking for people who have:
- Experience of developing software in a SOA or micro-services paradigm.
- Demonstrable experience in core Java 8+ (they use Version11), data structures, IO, multithreading, concurrency, and of implementing programming best practice, especially around public APIs, distributed systems, scalability, high availability, and
- Experience of test-driven development alongside the use of automated test frameworks, mocking and stubbing and unit testing tools
- Demonstrable knowledge of either MongoDB or Kafka at enterprise scale
For this Software Engineer position, they are paying from £80,000 to £108,900 depending on experience plus excellent benefits like 10% bonus, 10% pension (non contributory) and 38 days holiday (including bank holidays)
They offer a hybrid working set up, so would like to see you 2 days per month in the office.
