Senior Middleware Integration Engineer

Our client who are one of the most reputable banks in Kuwait are seeking a highly skilled Senior Middleware Integration Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing services based on various standards for REST, web services, data integration techniques, messaging, transformation engines, and non-standard services (APIs). As a senior member of their technology team, you will support code deployments, present architecture and design proposals to stakeholders, maintain working knowledge of Service Bus platforms, and ensure the seamless integration of our middleware systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design services based on different standards for REST, web services, data integration techniques, messaging, transformation engines, and non-standard services (APIs).
• Support code deployments and configuration changes to production and non-production systems, following established procedures.
• Present architecture and design proposals to necessary stakeholders as required.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Service Bus platforms, JEE frameworks, and API-related activities, such as requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, resource-based API modeling, and microservices architecture.
• Ensure strong understanding of business processes and handle day-to-day aspects of middleware integration, including troubleshooting and system maintenance.
• Utilize standards and frameworks such as JAXB, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, JPA, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, MQ, and JDBC for effective integration solutions.
• Hands-on experience with JDeveloper, various adapters (file, FTP, JCA, MQ), XQuery, XPath, XSLT, and different types of messaging types and protocols.
• Ensure adherence to Industry Standard Web security, OWASP, and API Security Mechanisms.
• Strong experience with databases such as MS SQL and Oracle.
• Design, develop, support, architect, and maintain Oracle Fusion Middleware Suite SOA/OSB Applications.
• Develop solution designs for assigned initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Certified professional in Java, JEE, or Service Bus preferred for this role.
• 6+ years of experience in information technology building enterprise-scale internet/customer-facing systems.
• 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Java/JEE, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Service Bus, Spring Boot.
• Experience in developing SOAP and REST APIs/Webservices.
• Strong understanding of banking industry or financial services.
• Preferred experience in microservices architecture and its supporting technologies and frameworks.
