Marketing Director

Our client, a renowned Global events company, are looking for a Marketing Director to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure strategic marketing objectives are identified and achieved.
• Act as a change management ambassador, fostering a positive approach towards challenges and change.
• Share best practices within the team and broader Global Exhibitions business.
• Ensure the team possesses the necessary skills and resources to meet agreed objectives.
• Contribute actively to strategic plans for products within the portfolio.
• Manage a cross-functional marketing team, including event marketers, digital marketing managers, designers, content developers, social media, and audience development.
• Devise and execute innovative consumer and B2B marketing campaigns to meet predetermined objectives/targets.
• Maintain a motivated and appropriately skilled/trained marketing team.
• Foster collaborative efforts with other departments to achieve shared objectives.
• Deliver marketing campaigns within budget, guided by sound commercial reasoning
• Lead a team of marketing and digital managers across a product portfolio.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and inspiration to the team.
• Ensure successful delivery of marketing campaigns aligned with agreed KPIs, event, and divisional strategy.
• Develop skills and competencies of team members, providing clear development roadmaps.
• Develop a succession plan to identify top talent and ensure continuous delivery.

Requirements:

• Possess a degree or equivalent educational qualification.
• Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Extensive experience in leading marketing initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability in managing senior-level teams, including managerial roles.
• Proven track record of effectively collaborating with and overseeing senior stakeholders.
• Extensive background in consumer marketing, preferably within the events sector.
• Possess an analytical mindset and a propensity for asking critical questions.
