Chief Business Officer – Digital Bank

We are supporting a well-established financial organisation in the UAE with the search for a Chief Business Officer (CBO). This is a pivotal executive leadership role responsible for driving business growth, forging strategic partnerships, and leading revenue generation. The CBO will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to ensure business operations align with the organisation’s strategic vision and long-term objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in the banking sector, strong commercial expertise, and a proven record of scaling operations while leading high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute business strategies that align with the organisation’s mission and growth plans
• Identify and capture new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and revenue channels
• Own profit and loss targets, ensuring financial outcomes meet strategic goals
• Partner with the CFO to manage budgets, forecasts, and efficient allocation of resources
• Build and nurture relationships with high-value partners, clients, and stakeholders
• Stay ahead of market trends, competitor actions, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive innovation and strengthen the product portfolio
• Mentor senior leaders and promote a culture of excellence and accountability
• Provide transparent updates to the Board on performance, KPIs, and strategic initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• 15+ years of experience in the UAE banking industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA highly desirable)
• Demonstrated success in leading strategic initiatives and scaling business operations
• Strong financial acumen with data-driven decision-making skills
• Excellent negotiation and influencing abilities
• Innovative leader with a growth-oriented mindset
• Results-driven approach with a focus on execution.
