Role Overview:
The Cyber Security Business Unit Head will lead and grow the organization’s cybersecurity practice, overseeing strategy, delivery, and business development across multiple sectors. This senior leadership role combines deep cybersecurity expertise with commercial acumen, ensuring the business unit drives revenue, builds client trust, and delivers innovative security solutions. The Head will act as a trusted advisor to executives and clients, shaping the unit’s vision and aligning cybersecurity initiatives with enterprise and market needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the business unit strategy in alignment with corporate goals, market trends, and customer needs.
- Business Growth: Drive P&L ownership, revenue targets, and profitability through new business, partnerships, and expanded client engagements.
- Practice Development: Build and scale cybersecurity service offerings across GRC, Security Operations, Cloud Security, IAM, and Emerging Technologies.
- Client Engagement: Serve as an executive-level advisor to clients, developing long-term relationships and ensuring delivery excellence.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing cybersecurity teams, fostering innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure delivery quality, compliance, and operational efficiency across all projects and services.
- Market Positioning: Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums, strengthening brand visibility in the cybersecurity domain.
- Innovation & Transformation: Stay ahead of evolving threats, regulatory requirements, and technology trends to ensure the business unit remains competitive.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 15+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 7+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven track record of P&L management and driving business growth within cybersecurity or technology practices.
- Broad cybersecurity expertise across strategy, GRC, SOC operations, cloud, IAM, and architecture.
- Strong network and reputation in the cybersecurity market (consultancies, MSSPs, or enterprise organizations).
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with experience scaling multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong client engagement and stakeholder management skills at the C-level.
- Commercial acumen and ability to translate security solutions into business value.
Preferred Certifications:
- CISSP / CISM / CISA (strong foundational certifications)
- CCSP, SABSA, or TOGAF (architecture/strategy focus)
- MBA or Executive Leadership Certification (advantageous)
