Cloud FinOps Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial operations related to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products and services.
• Support invoicing processes by troubleshooting billing issues, clarifying charges, and resolving discrepancies.
• Conduct cost analysis for partners and customers using GCP tools such as Cloud Billing and Cost Management.
• Assist the finance team with revenue recognition and cost optimization efforts.
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure precise pricing and cost estimation using GCP-specific and other relevant tools.
• Develop cloud product and service forecasts, aligning them with business objectives.
• Engage in securing Deal Acceleration Funds (DAFs) from Google to drive business growth.
• Work closely with sales teams to analyze cloud usage patterns, identify opportunities for optimization, and maximize cost efficiency.
• Utilize GCP’s cost management solutions (e.g., Billing, Budgets & Alerts, Recommender) and automate cost monitoring and optimization strategies.
• Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of FinOps best practices across the organization in line with the FinOps Framework.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), IT Management, or a related field.
• Certifications such as FinOps Certified Practitioner or Google Cloud Certified Cloud Digital Leader are a plus.
• Strong understanding of public cloud pricing structures.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial operations, preferably within a cloud or technology-focused environment.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation purposes.
