Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations related to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products and services.
- Support invoicing processes by troubleshooting billing issues, clarifying charges, and resolving discrepancies.
- Conduct cost analysis for partners and customers using GCP tools such as Cloud Billing and Cost Management.
- Assist the finance team with revenue recognition and cost optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure precise pricing and cost estimation using GCP-specific and other relevant tools.
- Develop cloud product and service forecasts, aligning them with business objectives.
- Engage in securing Deal Acceleration Funds (DAFs) from Google to drive business growth.
- Work closely with sales teams to analyze cloud usage patterns, identify opportunities for optimization, and maximize cost efficiency.
- Utilize GCP’s cost management solutions (e.g., Billing, Budgets & Alerts, Recommender) and automate cost monitoring and optimization strategies.
- Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of FinOps best practices across the organization in line with the FinOps Framework.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), IT Management, or a related field.
- Certifications such as FinOps Certified Practitioner or Google Cloud Certified Cloud Digital Leader are a plus.
- Strong understanding of public cloud pricing structures.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial operations, preferably within a cloud or technology-focused environment.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation purposes.
