Director- IT Solutions Design & Development – UAE National

My client is the transportation group in the UAE.

Role overview:

You will be responsible for planning, managing, and implementing advanced business process automation and enterprise data integration solutions to enhance the operational efficiency and systems interoperability. The role involves ensuring the standardization of process automation tools, maximizing the utilization and reusability of the company’s technology assets, and driving innovation through emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Information Technology Strategy: Contribute to the technology strategy and roadmap formation by providing indepth analysis of business continuity, infrastructure, and data centres strategy elements. Align technology initiatives with business objectives to drive value.
• Programs and Projects: Plan, direct, and coordinate activities to manage and implement GIS programs and projects. Use advanced project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2) to ensure successful project delivery.
• Innovation: Actively monitor, identify, and benchmark new and emerging technologies, assessing their relevance and potential value. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
• Information Technology Portfolio: Plan and monitor the implementation of the section’s portfolio and provide recommendations for changes to portfolio priorities. Utilize portfolio management tools to track and report on project status, resource allocation, and performance metrics

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering from a recognized university

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 14 years’ experience
• Goal-driven leader who maintains a productive climate and confidently motivates, mobilizes, and coaches employees to meet high performance standards.
• Listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
