Integration Architect – API & Apigee Expert

⏳ 6-month initial contract with extensions

My client is looking for a highly skilled Integration Architect to lead API architecture design and implementation, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and own the enterprise API management architecture using Apigee.
• Define and enforce standards for API design, versioning, security, and governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business and technical goals.
• Provide hands-on leadership in building complex API proxies and shared flows.
• Oversee seamless integration with backend systems, legacy platforms, and third-party services.
• Implement monitoring, analytics, and performance tuning across all API layers.
• Develop and optimise developer portals for smooth onboarding and lifecycle management.
• Maintain clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and review processes.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in API architecture and design, ideally with Apigee.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns, security best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to lead both strategically and hands-on in technical delivery.
