Senior Release & Support Engineer

We are partnered with a nationwide-leading stockbroking platform in Australia to hire a Senior Release & Support Engineer as part of their cloud transformation initiative to be based in their Technology CoE located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Release & Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless deployment and stable operation of their digital products. You will work with a dynamic team focused on solving critical issues, streamlining release cycles, and supporting our production environment. Your work will directly impact the quality of service we provide to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

· Triage and resolve critical system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining high application performance and availability.

· Proactively monitor application environments.

· Identify and troubleshooting application-related issues effectively and efficiently.

· Collaborate closely with development teams to troubleshoot production incidents, and ensure application stability and scalability.

· Manage and optimize Azure CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid, stable releases.

· Analyze logs, event viewers, and utilize New Relic for in-depth system troubleshooting.

· Create, maintain, and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of support documentation, knowledge base articles, and FAQs.

· Work on proactive measures, employing industry trends and best practices to prevent recurring issues and enhance support efficiency.

· Recommend and implement best practices and areas for process improvement and automation to improve release, monitoring, and support processes.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Mandatory:

· Proven experience in software systems and/or enterprise-grade support.

· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.

· Expertise in troubleshooting using logs, event viewers, and tools like New Relic.

· Experience in Azure CI/CD pipelines.

· Background in .NET, microservices, and AWS.

Helpful:

· Experience in creating and maintaining support documentation, knowledge base articles, and FAQs.

· Knowledge of AWS Terraform.

· Prior experience in a senior support or release role.

· Commitment to staying updated on industry trends and best practices related to application support.
