We are working alongside New Zealand’s iconic and leading auction house and valuation service in both Wellington and Auckland, to recruit an experienced Office Administrator.

About the role:

For this Office Administrator job, it is an integral role that ensures the smooth running of all the front of house and administration functions, so being onsite 5 days per week for this role is a must.

A busy and varied role – liaising with the public means no 1 day is the same.

It is a close-knit team, who assist and help each other out so you must be a team player.

Tasks will include:

  • First point of contact for all queries, in person, over the phone and via email
  • Managing the database and ensuring it is up to date
  • Set up and monitoring of live and online auctions
  • Processing end of auction documentation
  • Administration relating to preparation of valuation reports and general correspondence
  • All operational functions for the smooth running of the office
  • Banking duties and providing support to the finance team
  • Logistics of freighting auction items around New Zealand and overseas
  • 40hrs per week 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. There will be extra hours required outside of this when there are viewings and specialist auctions.

Skills & Experience:

  • Administration and great customer service skills
  • Xero experience
  • Accurate numeracy skills
  • Proven work history and work ethic
  • Committed, trustworthy and loyal employee
  • Ability to multitask and have attention to detail
  • Freight logistics experience an advantage
  • Tech savvy across MS Office Suite and confident to pick up new systems
