Embedded Software Engineer (Android)

Salt is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment. If you are Android developer or a Java developer willing to explore the embedded software application, you are encouraged to apply. This is a one-year renewable contract for the multinational technology and engineering company.

Job Scope:

• Design, develop, and test applications for embedded devices, focusing on Android and Linux platforms.
• Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement development improvement activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience in development on embedded devices running Android and Linux platform.
• 7+ years of work experience
• RTOS OS experience is a plus.
• Able to understand schematic diagram.
• Able to use the electronic instrument like oscilloscope and protocol analyser.
• Experience in working with serial port standard like RS422 and RS485
• Experience in working in one or more standard interfaces like SPI, I2C, JTAG
• Good to have: Experience in working with ISO7816 and ISO14443 smartcard standard.
• Program Skills: Java and C/C++
