Contracts Specialist/Buy Desk Analyst

Salt Talent Search is looking for a Legal Contracts Manager for a 10-month contract role,

responsible for driving and completing contract negotiations with clients on behalf of client’s businesses. We partner closely with the Client Business relationship managers, Legal and Compliance, Onboarding teams and other internal groups to ensure clients contracts balance commercial outcomes with appropriate risk management and fiduciary obligations.

Role Description

• Drive the contracting process from initial drafting through negotiation and execution for your portfolio of business
• Manage client business and client expectations throughout the negotiation process
• Facilitate and coordinate with internal partners across functions involved in the contracting process, ensuring their comments flow through to the contract and requisite approvals are obtained
• Identify issues that are disseminated to potentially impacted internal partners for review, discussion, negotiation and resolution
• Ensure that all completed contractual documentation is properly filed and in compliance with internal procedural and regulatory requirements
• Find opportunities for process and client experience improvements
• Support the sales team with contractual documentation queries
• Participate in Onboarding initiatives including technology and workflow changes

Experience/Qualifications:

• Confirmed ability to draft and negotiate complex legal contracts
• Ability to perform and deliver high quality legal contracts in a fast-paced environment
• Proven skills in successfully handling contending internal and external demands within compressed timeframes
• Strong communication skills – written and oral
• Knowledge of the asset management industry (fund types, client base and strategies, operational set up and products) and applicable law and regulations
• Comfort in working with multiple systems to track and lead through the contract negotiation lifecycle
