Our client – a global company pioneering housing and bathware products is in search for a Regional Design Project Manager (with industrial design background) to join their growing industrial design team in Asia.

About the role:

You will be part of a regional industrial design team (currently around 15 mainly based in Singapore, China) and oversee all design related projects/ activities. You will attend important design/ business meetings, coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales teams to maintain design intent and strategy alignment.

Other tasks in your typical days include:

· Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales teams to maintain design intent and strategy alignment

· Manage the appropriate allocation of design resources to ensure that design projects meet current objectives, schedules, and budgets

· Ensure the timely creation and delivery of all necessary technical documents to facilitate the new products’ development

· Lead efforts to ensure all deliverables represent the highest level of quality and reliability attainable

· Support the design team and other functions on projects related activities: design awards applications, prototyping, IP registration, ect.

· Provide updates to the department head on the state of design resources allocation and team members’ capacity levels

Your Skills and Experience:

· You have at least 8 years of experience in project management / product development working in Asia.

· You understand the new design, product development processes and have good knowledge of materials, manufacturing, and engineering processes.

· Besides English, you are proficient in Mandarin in all skills (including writing and reading) as dealing with vendors based in China will be an important part of this job.
