Electrical Design Engineer

Salt Talent Search is looking for an Electrical Engineer for a 12 months extendable contract role based in Kuala Lumpur

What Will You Do:

• Collaborate in Validation tasks with our Contract Manufacturer partner
• Participate in Electrical Engineering Design reviews
• Collaborate with the Global Supplier Management (GSM) team to confirm EE material/BOM components are procured and on hand.
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing the Test Engineering (MTE) team.
• Collaborate with EE Asia/US team triaging line failing units
• Perform Failure Analysis
• Create and execute Design of experiments.
• Auditing CM facilities and manufacturing lines.

What Do you need:

• 5+ years experience as an electrical engineer working in consumer electronics industry
• Experience shipping high-volume consumer products Expertise in the hardware lab with test, measurement, and prototyping Familiar with standard communication interfaces such as SPI, USB, I2C, RS232
• Hands-on experience designing for EMC and debugging associated issues
• Experience running Validation and Failure Analysis on products with Li-on batteries.
• Strong Project Management skills
• Experience working with JDM suppliers
• Extensive on-site factory experience with contract manufacturers
• BS or MS in electrical engineering or related field
