Product Design Lead

As the inaugural Product Design leader based in NYC, your responsibilities will include playing a pivotal role in shaping a compelling user experience within the Web3 marketplace platform. This involves crafting wireframes and layouts that intricately illustrate the nuances of the customer journey. Your keen awareness of customer behavior will be crucial in crafting an optimal online experience, and you will contribute to the development of a product design strategy aligned with our feature roadmap. As part of your role, you will challenge conventional notions of web3 platform aesthetics, collaborating closely with Creative, Product, and Engineering teams. Leading continuous iteration and improvement efforts, you will influence business and executive perspectives on product design. Conducting ongoing user research and immersing yourself in a comprehensive understanding of the business will be integral to your approach. You will tackle complex design challenges, finding the delicate equilibrium between seamless user experience and aesthetically pleasing design. The ideal candidate demonstrates a profound interest in fashion, web3, and emerging digital landscapes, with a potential bonus for a passion for the metaverse and digital fashion. Your extensive experience in hands-on UI & UX Design, coupled with the ability to define and create design systems, will be essential. Balancing leadership responsibilities within the business while remaining actively involved in the design and creative process is a key aspect of this role. Your commitment to staying current with digital innovations and influential figures in the digital realm, coupled with a strong sense of typography and layout, will set you apart. Additionally, your patience, ability to work efficiently on multiple projects, and adaptability to changing priorities will be highly valued. A willingness to learn new technologies, a grasp of the HTML process, and an understanding of structural site limitations are crucial for informing digital design decisions. Your past experience in leading end-to-end cross-platform digital product design at web3, E-commerce, or consumer-facing technology companies, along with a data-driven mindset and effective communication skills, make you an ideal candidate. You are free of ego, possess facilitation and interpersonal skills, and are equally comfortable teaching and receiving constructive feedback.
