Salt is partnering with a Software Solution provider for first responders to help them hire a Customer Marketing Lead & Emergency Services Subject Matter Expect. This is a FTE, permanent position located in ATX or remote.

In this role, you will lead the Customer Marketing efforts around key customer segments in emergency services and report into the Director of Product Marketing. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in these customer segments and have an understanding of how tech and software products impact customers. You will help the company better understand customers; they will be your north star to deliver consistency in all things customer facing, from content and assets, to employee enablement, to a suite of products.

The role:

  • Own and manage the customer journey; customer buying groups and user segments incl. deep customer attributes, motivations, and purchase drivers
  • Enable customer knowledge internally to fuel overall growth strategies and execution consistency
  • Work with exec. leadership and business development to clearly articulate vision for the industries the company serves
  • Work closely with sales and business development teams on customer feedback; translate knowledge and learnings to make internal training programs, content, playbooks, and messaging top-knotch
  • Measure the impact of your work on customer growth, retention, and financial outcomes; communicate these impacts within the rest of the organization

Your profile:

  • 5+ years in emergency services; 3+ B2B or B2G marketing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of how the industry uses enterprise software and the value those products offer
  • Strong communication skills and fearless attitude to ensure alignment across all departments including executives, product, sales and marketing
  • Maintain composure and performance in a fast-paced environment
  • Successful role at an industry-aligned association (ex: JEMS)
