Salt is partnering with one of the world’s largest medical diagnostics company looking to hire a seasoned Director of Communications to their team. This is a full-time position based out of Austin, TX.

As the Director of Communications you will create and execute internal and external multichannel communications which includes creating and executing communication strategies with a diverse range of business and marketing communication to expand brand awareness and reinforce the mission, core values, and culture.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Create and drive communication strategy roadmap for that enables growth and brand awareness
  • Execute strategic communication plans to support the organization’s vision
  • Lead communication and branding efforts in digital and traditional marketing platforms
  • Act as the PR spokesperson, respond to media, create and distribute press releases as required
  • Assist executive leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and other essential company messages
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to help define communications needs
  • Design and ensure all company materials have consistent branding
  • Develop content to the specific audience requirements across multiple formats
  • Provide extensive experience in crisis management communication, preemptive planning, and forecasting
  • Manage and cultivate agency relationships
  • Create and manage budget for the communications team

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proven knowledge and proficiency in communications technologies
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to research and synthesize information into content for internal and external publications
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to effectively convey information to the organization, executive leadership, clients, and public
  • Strong leadership abilities, a creative thinker that is able to craft solutions within given constraints and lead through change
  • Well-organized with attention to detail, self-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast- paced environment
  • Knowledge of content management systems, HTML coding, and digital graphics production

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • 10+ years of corporate communications, public relations, or related experience
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Healthcare experience preferred
