Photographer and Prop Specialist

We are working with an iconic family of brands based in Maryland to find an innovative and creative Art Photographer and Prop Specialist – you will play a crucial role in meeting the ongoing photography needs of their portfolio of brands.

This includes capturing product, recipe, and lifestyle photography. Art direction on set, and prop styling. You will work collaboratively with the content and creative teams to ensure that product photography meets visual and promotional requirements. This role will be on-site at the HQ in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and edit high-quality photography that effectively showcases products, ingredients and finished dishes for use on website, print and social channels
• Retouch and color correct images and upload to the digital asset management system
• Work with content producers to understand project scope and objectives.
• Attend pre-production meetings.
• Maintain a consistent and cohesive photographic style that aligns with brand identity and product positioning.
• Execute high-quality tabletop set design that effectively showcases products, ingredients, and finished dishes for use on website, print and social channels.
• Prepare art direction and props for pre-pro documents.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years CPG photography retouching experience
• Food photography experience
• Strong ability to retouch, edit, and color correct photos
• Up to date on current trends
• Flexible to pivot aesthetics to match brand personalities.
• Food and CPG photography experience.
• Interpersonal Skills – leadership, interactions, communication, influence
• Flexible and positive mindset – internal deadlines and priorities are constantly changing
• Team player, must work daily with other creatives to produce content together
• Able to take constructive feedback in action on it in real time – to make changes to images
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign)
• Proficiency with Capture One

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Photography, Art, or related field
• Project management experience
