Salt has partnered with the industry leader in the 2-sided Prop-Tech space to hire an Earned Media Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position and is fully remote.

This role will align within the Rentals growth business unit and reports to the Head of Marketing for Rentals. As the Earned Media Manager, your mandate is to ensure the business reaches and captures the target audience by creating relevance with the customer. By creating high-quality, timely and relevant content, the goal is to establish this business as a resource and authority in the independent rental marketplace. You will work with a team of content specialists, digital marketers, and a community marketer to develop and execute content strategies, drive organic traffic to the site, generate unpaid sign-ups, and amplify the brand voice through content.

The role:

  • Own and create the earned media vertical roadmap and the actions to make it successful
  • ​​Support content ideation and planning process by offering feedback and insights into topics that will reach our target audience, drive engagement with existing users and gain coverage in target publications
  • Expand the distribution footprint with owned and earned channels (web, blog, video, social) through testing and experimentation
  • Oversee team execution of organic search engine campaigns including keyword research, data-driven content gap recommendations, and strategic optimization of existing content
  • Guide the team in delivering strategies that improve SEO footprint, organic search results and overall domain rating and authority
  • Build and update relevant dashboards reporting performance, conduct post-analysis of editorial initiatives and CRO strategies, and share insights with stakeholders to ensure teams are pacing to meet goals
  • Manage training and development for the earned media marketing team

Your profile:

  • 5 – 7 years content marketing, SEO strategy, digital marketing, and/or social media experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Understanding of the buyer cycle and how to influence buyer behavior at the various stages of their journey
  • Deep knowledge of SEO strategies, including on-page, off-page and technical SEO best practices
  • Knowledge and experience working with SEO tools (such as AHREFS, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console) and Analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization, defining CRO goals, managing CRO test plans, and monitoring core web vitals
  • Proven track record developing unique content plans for multiple platforms, incl. social channels
  • Proficiency managing projects using project management softwares i.e. airtable or Jira
  • Experience working with website tools i.e. WordPress and Prismic
