Salt has partnered with with a leading Fortune500 integrated power company to hire a Sr. Marketing Manager. The company has embraced a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days WFH). Applicants should be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. This is a permanent, full-time role.

The role + responsibilities:

  • You will manage relationships across the parent organization to develop, plan, and execute customer communications strategy and creative assets (Texas markets) in order to meet renewal, customer experience and engagement goals.
  • Own strategic development of customer touch-points; developing, managing, and reporting results for strategic, retention go-to-market marketing plans for offers/products/services for multiple energy brands.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of the industry, business, competitors and brands, and act as an important resource and thought leader for intelligence and strategic direction.
  • Hyper aware of consumer engagement and customer experience; you are a consumer advocate at your core.
  • Work collaboratively with the cross-functional team to determine product/offer positioning, value proposition, naming, messaging, and creative strategy.
  • Identify optimal marketing channel mix to produce measurable and sustainable results that strengthen customer retention and drive business results.
  • Oversee the creative development process for campaigns; determine areas to better leverage a campaign across multiple marketing channels; ensure creative and messaging is aligned in all communications.
  • Identify test and learn scenarios; analyze and understand customer needs and refine plans based on learnings.
  • Develop and oversee a 12-month strategic retention marketing calendar for campaigns.
  • Brainstorm new innovative channels and marketing activities that will help differentiate the brand/product and drive business goals.
  • Continuously track and monitor offer/campaign/creative/channel mix effectiveness; deliver relevant reports and present insights to keep the broader org. aware of marketing activities.

Your background + experience

  • Accredited degree in marketing, advertising or related field required.
  • 9+ years experience in marketing/advertising/brand management
  • Experience building and implementing successful strategic customer marketing plans.
  • Experience with subscription-based industries (energy, utilities, electricity, cable, etc.).
  • You possess drive, initiative, leadership, strategic thinking, problem solving and the ability to cultivate and sustain a high degree of cross-functional collaboration, coordination, and communication.
  • Exceptional conceptual thinking skills, creativity that is supported by a process-oriented analytical skill set.
  • Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and manage challenging projects complete with shifting deadlines and demands.
  • Experience tracking and measuring campaign performance and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written and visual); able to present to executive teams.
  • Excellent relationship-building & interpersonal skills; collaborate across departments and organizations.
