Senior Data Analyst – Contract

Salt is one again partnering with a leading social media and creative agency known for delivering data-driven campaigns for some of the world’s most recognized brands. They’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join their team on a short-term contract (2-3 months) to help interpret, visualize, and communicate performance insights that fuel strategy, creativity, and measurable business growth. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of analytics and storytelling, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence marketing decisions and elevate brand performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Analyze Marketing Performance: Dive deep into large, multi-channel datasets to measure and evaluate campaign performance across both organic and paid social media.
• Build Dashboards & Reports: Design and maintain reporting frameworks and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar, to translate metrics into meaningful narratives.
• Optimize & Forecast: Apply analytical rigor to forecast outcomes, test strategies, and recommend optimizations that drive engagement and ROI.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with creative, media, and strategy teams to ensure data is driving decisions across campaigns and client initiatives.
• Leverage Technical Tools: Use SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and data visualization tools to clean, organize, and analyze large data sets.
• Stay Ahead of Trends: Bring curiosity and adaptability when it comes to emerging technologies, automation, and AI within marketing analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, preferably within an agency, eCommerce, or retail environment.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Tableau (or similar platforms), and intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Proven ability to interpret social media performance metrics and develop actionable insights.
• Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies and performance benchmarking.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to turn data into clear, concise storytelling.
• A collaborative, curious, and proactive mindset – you enjoy working cross-functionally and bringing insights that spark creative thinking.
